Below, pictures from the visits of the Fairlane and the Stellaprima in November, 2005.

The Fairlane (above) arrived in the port on November 15, 2005 to discharge cargo. The majority of the pieces are destined for OPTI Canada’s Long Lake Upgrader oil sands project in Northern Alberta.  (Press release from Duluth Seaway Port Authority)
A double stacked exchanger was taken off the Fairlane on Tuesday afternoon at Lake Superior Warehousing Company at the Port Terminal. It is one of many very large pieces that will be discharged from this ship and the soon to arrive Stellaprima. This piece was placed on a rail car next to the ship and will be part of a train that will move the pieces up to Alberta, Canada.

At 8:30 on Friday morning, the Stellaprima pulled away from the dock at Lake Superior Warehousing Company, deck clean and holds empty. Next stop: Norfolk, to load electric power machinery for Nigeria.
 
Tuesday morning, the Schnabel car is loaded and ready to leave for Alberta.
